Design and document a D&D character across a year of play — outfits, expressions, and a zine.
Lumiel is the Dungeons and Dragons character I created for a campaign I’m participating in with a group of friends I made in college.
He’s a monotone cleric who comes from an underground religious sect known as the Church of Talos, worshipping the god of storms and destruction. He uses his magical abilities to heal the party, though his personality and wayward morals cause tension between him and those he travels with.
He has naturally evolved since his creation over the countless times I’ve depicted him, which is included in the mini zine I made around him for a class assignment.
Outfit references
I made a proper reference for each of his outfits so far — his religious garments, his outfit during the first month of the campaign’s story, and his current outfit following a month-long time skip.

Expressions

The zine
The mini zine is where the year of drawing him actually lives — thirteen pages of character notes, spell studies and gear, in the blue and gold pencil I kept coming back to. These three spreads are my favourites.
